Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how CulinaryNomics, operated by Brain Bolt Private Limited ("BrainBolt", "we", "us", or "our"), collects, uses, stores, and protects personal data and restaurant operating data for the CulinaryNomics website, waitlist, pilot, support, and SaaS analytics services.

Last updated: May 26, 2026

We handle data in line with applicable Indian law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025, and applicable cybersecurity directions or intermediary rules where they apply to our services. This page should be read with any signed order form, pilot agreement, or data processing terms between you and us.

Data We Collect

  • Contact and waitlist details such as name, email address, restaurant name, city, role, and messages submitted through our website or email.
  • Account and billing details needed to onboard, support, invoice, and administer a CulinaryNomics subscription or pilot.
  • Restaurant operating data uploaded or connected by you, including sales, purchase, inventory, expense, menu, outlet, and revenue variance data.
  • Support records, meeting notes, diagnostics, issue history, service requests, and communications with our team.
  • Usage, device, log, cookie, and analytics data that helps us understand product performance, security events, feature adoption, and reliability.

How We Use Data

  • To provide restaurant analytics, reporting, variance detection, menu intelligence, onboarding, support, and account administration.
  • To retain and process data for service analytics, product improvement, usage trends, operational benchmarking, security monitoring, audit trails, and business reporting.
  • To communicate about pilot access, support tickets, subscriptions, invoices, policy updates, security notices, and product changes.
  • To detect misuse, protect our systems, troubleshoot incidents, preserve evidence, and comply with lawful requests or statutory obligations.
  • To create aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified insights where feasible, so that analytics can improve without identifying a specific restaurant, outlet, user, or customer.

Consent, Purpose, and Rights

By submitting information to CulinaryNomics or using our services, you consent to the collection and processing described in this policy for the stated purposes. Where Indian privacy law gives you rights to access, correct, update, withdraw consent, request erasure, nominate a representative, or raise a grievance, you may contact us at support@culinarynomics.com.

Withdrawing consent may limit our ability to provide analytics, support, security, billing, or compliance functions. We may retain information where retention is required or permitted by law, contract, legitimate business records, dispute handling, cybersecurity, or fraud prevention needs.

AWS Hosting and Security

CulinaryNomics stores and processes service data in a safe and controlled manner using Amazon Web Services (AWS) and related cloud infrastructure where applicable. AWS infrastructure, services, and subprocessors are governed by AWS's applicable service terms, data processing terms, privacy notices, security controls, compliance programs, and acceptable use policies.

We remain responsible for how we configure, access, and use our AWS environment. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards such as access controls, restricted administrative access, encryption where appropriate, backups, monitoring, and least-privilege practices. No online system is completely risk free, so our liability for data incidents is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law and any signed agreement with you.

Sharing and Processors

We do not sell customer data. We may share data only where needed for operating CulinaryNomics, including with cloud hosting providers such as AWS, analytics and deployment tools, email and communication providers, payment or invoicing partners, professional advisers, auditors, acquirers in a business transfer, and authorities where disclosure is legally required.

Retention

We retain data for as long as reasonably needed to provide the CulinaryNomics service, maintain analytics, meet legal and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, secure our systems, and improve the product. Restaurant operating data, support records, and usage analytics may be retained during the customer relationship and for a reasonable period afterward for audit, backup, security, and analytics purposes.

Where practical, we anonymize, aggregate, or delete data when the original purpose is no longer served. Backup copies and legally required records may take additional time to expire from all systems.

Children and Sensitive Data

CulinaryNomics is intended for business users and restaurant operators. It is not directed to children. Please do not upload unnecessary sensitive personal data, government identifiers, payment card details, health data, passwords, or private employee records unless we have expressly agreed to process that information in writing.

Grievance and Updates

Privacy questions, data requests, and grievances can be sent to support@culinarynomics.com. We may update this policy as our services, legal obligations, AWS configuration, or analytics practices change. Continued use of CulinaryNomics after an update means you accept the updated policy.
